Someone Wild to Run With

Patrick and Kimberly crossed paths at a line-dancing night at their local country bar in Tacoma, Washington. He won her over with his lovable charisma as she attempted to teach him how to line dance. A few days later, Patrick took Kimberly on a first date at the "best steakhouse in Washington," Asados, where he promptly ordered the fried chicken. They laughed and bonded over their love of history and travel.

How we met...

Patrick knew Kimberly was the love of his life after she left him... for a six month deployment to Singapore. While Kimberly enjoyed her Army sponsored vacation Patrick bravely held the home front ensuring the kitties were well taken care of. However, even the bravest providers can succumb to loneliness and even though they talked on the phone nearly every day, texted constantly, and Patrick took a four-day trip out to see Kimberly in Singapore, he couldn't help but miss her terribly. While she was away Patrick realized how much joy Kimberly brought to every aspect of his life. In her absence he had come to understand that Kimberly had not only become a key part of his life, but the most important part. He became determined to make sure he would never have to suffer one of those terrible days without her again. So now, for better or worse, she's stuck with him.

When he knew...

Amongst the mist-shrouded trails of their Pacific Northwest road trip, Kimberly found the clarity that had been growing for years. It wasn't just that Patrick supported her "crazy" goals; it was that he celebrated them as if they were his own. Whether it was hiking straight up snowy mountains in the rain or backing her most ambitious career move, he was her tireless champion. He was more than just her greatest support and the one who fueled her dreams; he was her "forever," the person who turned every trail into home just to see her happy.

When she knew...

Patrick knew immediately how to leave a lasting impression with the most creative proposal on their spring trip to Mexico. He decided to ask Kimberly to marry him in Teotihuacan, Mexico - yes, the ancient ruins. The ancients designed the ruins to mimic the mountains behind them, creating the perfect blend of their favorite things - history and mountain adventures. He designed her ring with her birthstone, a beautiful pear-cut Alexandrite, and her favorite stone, Opal. They celebrated with dinner at a unique local restaurant.

An Unconventional proposal....

As we prepare to say "I do" surrounded by the beauty of the woods, we are also preparing for a new great adventure in our lives: moving across the country from Georgia to start our new chapter in Washington state. This move feels like a beautiful homecoming for us, as Washington is the place where we first met and fell in love. While we have cherished our time in the South, the Army is calling us back to the Pacific Northwest, and we couldn't be more excited to return as a married couple among the mist-covered evergreens. We can’t wait to celebrate one last epic weekend with our loved ones and friends before we move west to start our "forever" back where it all began.

Patrick grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. Patrick joined the Army in 2015 and served with the premier 75th Ranger Regiment for seven years. Patrick decided to change careers and go into IT and history, currently finishing a bachelors. He enjoys traveling to new national parks and board games.

Kimberly grew up in Tucson, Arizona, but always claims Seattle, Washington, as home. She loves traveling and experiencing new cultures, line-dance, trail running, and backpacking national parks. She currently serves in the Army as an Infantry Drill Sergeant at Fort Benning, Georgia.

Adult's Only Evening

We love your little ones, but to allow all our guests a night of relaxation, we have chosen to keep our ceremony and reception an adults-only occasion. For those with no other options, professional on-site childcare can be reserved to ensure your children are well cared for while you celebrate with us on the Travel Hub page. For Pre-teens and Teenagers, we have arranged for a fun evening of games, movies, and pizza on the property.

Ceremony 

Together with their families, Patrick Michael Juhn and Kimberly Patricia Rae MacKenzie will exchange vows enveloped by the timeless beauty of the towering stone and the serene whispers in Hocking Hills. The ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM before the majestic canyon walls at Crockett’s Run. We would be honored to have you witness our promise in this breathtaking, natural sanctuary as we begin our new life together in a ceremony that honors the enduring strength of nature.

Cocktail Hour

Following the ceremony, we invite you to linger and enjoy the natural splendor of the venue during an extended cocktail hour at 3:30 PM. Please take this time to relax, explore the serene surroundings, and share a toast with us as we begin our celebration in the heart of nature.

Reception

At 5:00 PM, the celebration will continue within the rustic elegance of the Crockett's Run Pavilion, where we invite you to enjoy an evening of delicious food and music. Nestled within the 56-acre property, this stunning setting offers sweeping views of the Hocking Hills' dramatic rock formations, lake, and hemlock-studded hillsides. We look forward to sharing this joyful night of dinner and dancing in the fresh air of this natural sanctuary.

Bonfire Afterparty

As the evening stars emerge, the celebration continues at 10:00 PM with an afterparty bonfire. We invite you to gather around the flames for a relaxed and fun-filled finale to our wedding day. Whether you wish to keep the party going or simply unwind under the night sky, we look forward to sharing stories and laughter by the fire as we wrap up this unforgettable day.

Join us for an energetic bachelorette hike in gorgeous Hocking Hills to get the blood pumping and enjoy the fresh air. Party the weekend with the couple at the venue, Get ready to unplug and go wild! Join Kimberly and Patrick for an epic pre-wedding weekend at Crockett’s Run in the heart of Hocking Hills, Ohio. For $250, you’ll score a full weekend of relaxation and fun—from trekking private waterfall trails to sharing laughs around a bonfire in the gorge—all leading up to the main event: the wedding and reception! Spots for this beautiful resort getaway are limited, so secure your place in the celebration by requesting through Kim 623-693-4952 ASAP. Payment can be made with CASHAPP, PAYPAL or VENMO. Kim will send you a link for payment.

Childcare

Childcare services will start at 3pm and continue until 10pm. We will have a teenager section set up starting at 5pm with the receptions timeline with games, food, and movies. We kindly ask that you include ages and any special notes in the details so we can prepare for each age group appropriately.

For your convenience, parking is available directly on-site. Due to the size of the site, a golf cart will begin running one hour prior to the ceremony to transport guests to the seating area from the parking lot.

Airports 

For guests traveling by air, Crockett's Run is most conveniently served by two main airports in Columbus. The John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) is the primary and largest option, located approximately 41 miles away, with a driving time of just under an hour. This airport offers a wide range of domestic and international flights and is serviced by major airlines, making it the most likely choice for travelers from different origins. A slightly closer alternative is the Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK) about 34 miles from Logan. LCK is a smaller airport with limited passenger service, primarily used by Allegiant Airlines, but it can be a more convenient and potentially less crowded option if it fits your flight schedule. Both airports offer car rental services for easy transportation to the Logan area and the Hocking Hills region.
